One counter, one phone line, sixty years of customers.

Autobedrijf van Nuland is a family garage in Volkel, in the south of the Netherlands, that has serviced all makes since 1962. The counter also checks cars in and hands keys back. At peak times and after 5 PM, a third of calls went unanswered, and half of the people who reached voicemail never called back.

The garage forwarded its existing number to Brons. Booking, rescheduling, car-ready status and opening hours were configured in the first week, together with breakdown rules approved by the owner. Brons was live in under two weeks.

Customer
Is my car ready? I dropped it off this morning.
Autobedrijf van Nuland
It is on the test drive now, ready from 4 PM. We’re open until 6 today.
Customer
Great, I’ll come by after work.

What changed.

Every call is now answered on the first ring, even fifty at once. More than six in ten calls are completed end to end without staff: information, car-ready status and bookings. Breakdowns reach the mechanic on duty in seconds, with a summary.

The numbers come from 8,420 incoming calls during May and June 2026. Callers who used to hang up now book, and after-hours callers book too. Bookings rose by 23 percent, and the counter got back around 170 hours a month.

“It knows the difference between an inspection booking and a car-ready question. Our counter finally has time for the customer standing in front of it.”
